no one seems the same to me,
some hate the freedom that men have fought,
for this nation of the land of the free.

People are stomping on our flag,
some kneeling at the song of our nation,
no tears, only mocking from those that brag,
while beating their chest with such elation.

Actors use their voice to condemn whats right,
looking on conservatives as something bad,
Living in mansions and having riches beyond sight,
Turning their backs on the poor, which is sad.

People bashing the president and his wife,
although freedom is theirs for the taking,
should be thankful for their life,
instead of God they are forsaking.

People look at bad as good,
and things good as bad,
They'd change our laws if they could.
everyone seems like they have gone mad,

No more people pay debts they owe,
People are no longer punished for their crime,
Just a slap on the hand and let go,
all while being paid for on our dime,

Some Teachers have a hidden agenda,
teaching kids about their political view,
not teaching math or english or a musical cadenza,
just something from out of the blue.

People seem to hate the cops,
taking out their camera and filming,
Looking for the next photo op,
of things to sue or use for slandering.

People are offending too much these days,
They hate our customs, statues, and laws,
They hate religious people who prays,
Taking over our schools, government and shopping malls.

Illegals are breaking our laws,
No more borders they often scream,
taking over our streets and town halls,
This all seems to me as a dream.Tracy Kauffmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02340739927957727186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4102457207726937808.post-57355532460547408002018-04-09T22:53:00.001-07:002018-04-09T22:54:30.570-07:00My Lord is my Shepherd

My Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He is my dearest friend and confidant.
He makes me lie beside the still waters,
He gives peace to all his sons and daughters.
He restoreth my soul and giveth me life,
in the path of righteousness, He keeps me from strife.
For his name sake, He remains close and near.
Threw the shadow of death, I will not shed a tear.
I will fear no evil, for he is with me.
He sets a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
at his throne in glory, I will fall on my knees.
He will anoints my head with oil, and set me free,
always goodness and mercy shall follow me.
For all the days of my life, I will live up above,
and will dwell in the house of the Lord, with his love. Jesus his only begotten son came to save,
Men of all nations, any skin or race,
His love bestowed, full of grace,
Our sins needed an atonement
From the Heavenly Father he was sent
He chose his only body as a sacrifice,
No other lamb would suffice.
Jesus stretched out his arms upon a tree,
To die so men could be set free.
His life was ended on a cross,
His blood shed, came at no loss.
Redemption came from our Savior,
Without him is no judgment waver.
Tears and joy were shed that early morn,
With him all men can be reborn.
Death couldnt hold in the grave,
Only Jesus Christ can save.Tracy Kauffmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02340739927957727186noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4102457207726937808.post-71762179217030034422017-09-24T12:20:00.000-07:002017-09-24T12:22:31.703-07:00Wisdom Comes With Age

I used to think
my family was crazy when I was younger. I didn't realize the wisdom
they had about pretty much everything. When we are young, we think we
know everything. We think we don't need any advice from anyone,
especially our parents. Now that I am older, I realize that wisdom
truly does come with age. A person who is 45 has lived 45 years and has
been through so much more than a person who is 25 years old. They have
seen things that a younger person hasn't. They have had experiences
that only comes from age. So if you are a teenager, it is okay to listen
to your elders. It is okay to get some advice, because more than
likely they will not steer you the wrong way.

One of my paintings is
of a Farm with a cow and duck. It is primitive looking but it brings
back the simple days when people grew their own foods and milked their
own cows. Times were harder back then, which brought on much more
experiences. It made people stronger, reliable and more respectful.
Those were simpler days when people sat on the porch and enjoyed the
peace and quite. So I hope this painting inspires you to try to respect
the simple things in life.

You held me tight and calmed my fears,
You gave me love more than I can tell,
You raised me up when I fell,
You taught me through your word to adore,
You supplied all my needs and gave me more,
You gave me things I didn’t deserve,
Even when the Lord, I didn’t serve.
You guarded me, when I was sick,
You healed my body pretty quick,
You kept me safe and sound for years,
You helped me overcome my fears.
You kept me busy by giving me hard work to do,
So I wouldn’t serve sin, but to you I would stay true,
You taught me how to give,
You gave me the best life I could live.
You taught me about heaven and hell,
You did so much for me that words cannot tell.
I love you and thank you for all you do,
You loved me even when to you, I wasn't true.
Because you were always there for me,
You are the best God, that you can be. What is this thing
that opens our hearts to others
Choosing to be caring
when others walk on by.

What is this thing
that resembles something of love
showing pity and kindness it brings
when nothing else can suffice.

It is giving food to a stranger,
stopping when someones hurt
Removing them from danger
Lending an ear or shoulder to cry

Jesus helped those in need
full of compassion for others
Showing many a thoughtful deed
An example for all to see

Today I heard a sermon by Dr. Martin Luther King on the “If”
Christian. The “If’ Christian is one who has decided to follow Christ
only when everything runs smoothly. They are willing to serve Jesus
Christ when it is easy and considered the “In” thing. Often they
bargain with God and agree to follow him “If” everything is easy; if
they don’t have to endure sufferings or persecution. They follow the
Lord when it makes sense for them; if they receive something in return,
such as: a good job, a nice family, plenty of money and great health.
When bad things start to happen to them, then their faith is tested.
They do not want to do anything that will make their life uneasy. They
don’t want to lose friends, family or their great lifestyle, so they
often compromise on their beliefs. They choose to be silent when people
oppose their beliefs or their faith. Dr. Martin Luther King wasn’t a
“If” Christian but a minister who stood against those laws that were
evil.
In this sermon, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr preached on three
Christians that refused to bow down and worship the image of gold.
Daniel Chapter three tells us that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
stood against the evil of the land. They had a faith greater than that
of man. They believed on the God above and took a stand against King
Nebuchadnezzar and his law. They knew that God would deliver them out
of fiery furnace that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They said, “If it
be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning
fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But
if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods,
nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Their faith was deep enough and real enough that nothing was going to
compromise their faith; nothing was going to get them to forsake their
true God for a false god. They had enough faith that they trusted in
God to deliver them; but if not, they would die with their faith intact.
What about you? Are you willing to take a stand against injustice or
evil laws. They are coming and coming soon. We have a president that
is writing his own laws. We have a Roman Pope that is writing and
changing laws into what is evil. Hitler changed laws and they were
considered the law of the land. Are you willing to die for your belief
in God? Are you willing to stand up against those things you know God
hates?
Judge Roy Moore of Alabama is taking a stand against “gay marriage”
in Alabama. He says that his God is against it and he will not support
anything that his God is against. He is willing to lose his job, where he was making a lot of money and held for years,
for his beliefs. He is willing to take a stand against evil in this
land; which shows his faith. He doesn’t have a “If” faith but a true
faith in God. He is suffering persecution now and has in the past, when
he lost his job for refusing to take down the “Ten commandments”
statue.
Soon there is coming a law that will require everyone to bow down and
worship an “image of the beast.” One will be required to take a mark
in their right hand or forehead in order to buy or sell (Revelation 13).
Those that refuse to take the mark or worship the image will suffer on
this earth. They will be persecuted, perhaps thrown in prison for
their refusal. Those that worship the beast or take his mark will
receive judgment of God (Revelation 20).
Jesus told us that we might have to face persecution and sufferings
of this life, but he said he would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews
13:5). God will walk with you and will help you in everything you do.
You do not have to walk alone. You can trust in the Almighty God and
believe on his son, Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian, God promised
you eternal life (John 5:24). If you are not, I urge you to accept
Christ before it is too late.
The world of publishing is changing, and you’ve already begun to
realize it. While there are still the same authors on the same tables at
your local bookstore, there are other names that are showing up online
and in your email inbox. But how are they getting attention if they’re
not doing publishing ‘the way it’s always been done’? For a thought
leader like you, you already have bigger ideas about how the world
should, rather, how the world COULD work to support the cutting edge
thoughts you want to share. You’re not interested in simply doing the
same old things because you’re not interested in the same old results.
In the past year, you’ve noticed how social media has changed the way we
interact and the way we share information. You’ve seen Facebook turn
into a sort of gathering place and Twitter become the first place where
thoughts are born. But you want to publish. You want to take your ideas a
step further and you’re not interested in spending a lot of money or
sending out hundreds of proposals. “Lead Me to Success in Publishing:
101 Ways” is the book for you.
Book Excerpt
Social media is ever expanding and there are always new options you can explore in terms of creating awareness of your book and your ideas. That said, it could also seem a little overwhelming when your
first starting out.

Instead of trying every possible social media outlet, it’s often a better idea to find a few that you find simple (i.e. Facebook and Twitter), and then when you have a following there, thenmove onto new options.

Tip #42: Google+
Like Facebook, Google+ is a place where you can set up a profile and share information with others who are in your circles. This service is unique as it allows you to create different levels of engagement, depending on what you want to do.

If you want to share certain pieces of information with friends, you can by placing them in your friends circles. Or you can create other circles that allow you to target your ideas to the audience you feel will benefit the most.
Reviews

Can
you imagine what it would be like as a 23 year old woman being
diagnosed with Huntington's Disease? The answer to that question is
yes, yes you can Imagine but you will Never understand what it is like
as a person to know this path your life is about to take. There is this
woman I am lucky enough to call my cousin and friend who is sharing her
story about her life with Huntington's Disease. Alexandra is a true
inspiration to so many people and with her big heart she is taking on
this disease with her head held high and a smile on her face. Although
she wasn't diagnosed until a couple years ago she still lived knowing
she had a 50% chance her life could change if she inherited this
horrific gene from her father who fought the battle of Huntington's
Disease. Everyday Alexandra worried "Do I have the gene?" She has an
amazing support team with her Mother, Step Father, sisters and family
and friends to walk by her side in her journey. Alexandra is a
brilliant, strong, big hearted beautiful woman whose story will touch
your heart and introduce you to someone who has no control of this
disease but took full control of what she could, her life as it was
given to her.

Alexandra Boothby is publishing her memoir, Living With Passion. It is
about her journey living with Huntington's Disease. She is a 24 year old
woman who was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease 2 years ago. She is a
beautiful, compassionate, smart woman, who is coping with this disease
with a very positive attitude and grace. She is an HD advocate who is
working to bring awareness for HD and hopefully for better treatment and
a cure for this horrible disease. HD is in my family, her Dad was my
brother, and I admire Alexandra so much. A day visiting with her always
make my day better. She continues to inspire everyone everyday, and if
you read her book you will also be inspired! Highly recommend this book.

Recently I had the priviledge to interview Cal Wilson, a Christian Author of The Camouflaged Cross. This is 'Book 1: Just Run'. Tales of Christian Preppers in the End Times.

When and Why did you decide to become a writer?
A: I am an attorney and writing is a big part of my work life. I have always enjoyed writing and getting my thoughts across, whether it is persuasive or fiction. But this is my first full-fledged fiction book and I really enjoyed writing it.

Who is your favorite author/book?
A: First and foremost, Jesus is the best story-teller with the parables that he told. They are entertaining works of fiction, but of course the parables described in the Bible had a point that He was trying to make. I can imagine that in Heaven, Jesus is a fantastic storyteller, with humor and adventure interspersed throughout His stories. I also like reading the old classic fictional writers like Alexandre Dumas, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jules Verne and Rafael Sabatini. There is a lot to be said about true, action-packed, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat adventure.

What type of books do you usually write and would you consider other types as well?
A: I like prepper books, and I have written one non-fiction prepper book, entitled Dirt Cheap Valuable Prepping, and I now have this fictional prepping book, The Camouflaged Cross, Book 1. I have outlined The Camouflaged Cross, Book 2, and it will be out in a few months. But whether it is fiction or non-fiction, I like sharing my prepping ideas with others. I don’t claim to be the foremost expert on prepping, but I do claim to have some original prepping ideas that I have not seen anywhere else.
Fictional prepping books also appeal to me because as a Christian, I am very interested in the End Times, as predicted in the Bible. The Camouflaged Cross enabled me to combine my prepping ideas and my fascination with biblical end times prophecy.
I have considered writing other action/adventure books in other settings, like with some humor included.

What type of writer are you? What is your writing style?
A: I enjoy sharing my ideas with others, and I try my best not to talk down to anyone. I respect the reader and I hope that my respect comes through. As for my fiction, I love writing action/adventure, and the more realistic it is, the more I enjoy it. For example, not every gunshot is a bull’s eye. A lot of gun shots totally miss the target. Also, after shots are fired at another person, the shock that people feel lasts a long time. I know this not from my own experience, but from my interviewing a couple of military guys for this book. One from the Marines and one from the Army. Also, there are a couple of excellent books out there, like On Killing, that discuss the emotional effects shooting at others has on a person.
I also enjoy developing fictional characters, and having the characters interact with each other. None of my fictional characters are based on a single person I know, but there are certain traits that I have seen in some acquaintances that I add to certain characters.
As a Christian writer, I sometimes write dialogue and circumstances to introduce Christian characters to readers who might be non-Christian. Let’s face it: when a non-Christian thinks of Christians, a lot times they think of certain stereotypes: unfriendly, judgmental, close-minded, unintellectual, and all the rest. And the truth is that while we Christians are far from perfect, we are friendly and smart! I hope that a reader of my books comes to see Christians that way.

What inspires you to write?
A: I like telling a good story, with plot twists that are very unexpected. It seems like every time I see a mainstream Hollywood movie or TV show, I come away thinking that the story could have been so much better presented if only some of the characters were unusual or the plot turned differently.
Something strange about the writing of The Camouflaged Cross book: it seemed as if I wrote all of the action scenes in the middle of the night. I have no idea why. That helicopter attack, for example. I would try writing some of that in the afternoon and what I wrote just didn’t feel right. Then I would return to writing that same scene in the middle of the night, and it just clicked for me. It really flowed! There could be some pop-psychology there to figure out as to why. Who knows.

What other books have you written and what is next on your agenda?
A: I have written one non-fiction prepper book, entitled Dirt Cheap Valuable Prepping, and I now have this fictional prepping book, The Camouflaged Cross, Book 1. I have outlined The Camouflaged Cross, Book 2, and it will be out in a few months.

Do you have another job as well as writing?
A: Yes, I am an attorney. A lot of people don’t know this, but when an attorney goes to court, the attorney actually spends a lot of time sitting and waiting for something to happen. Sometimes I have to sit and wait hours! So being a part-time author is a good fit. I bring my laptop to court and get busy writing. It is especially handy to be in a courthouse that has a great Internet connection, because I can quickly research issues that come up.

Tell me a little about where you grew up and what your childhood was like.
A: I grew up in Texas, and for the summers my parents would send me off to summer camp. I learned a lot of outdoor skills there, like camping, shooting and riding horses. I especially loved hearing the stories of the ranch-hands, and while I took them all with a grain of salt, I really enjoyed hearing tall tales. It seems like I was never bored if I was near an older man who had a lot of life experiences that he was eager to share.

Where is your favorite place to write?
A: Until recently, I would have said that my favorite place to write is just about anywhere quiet, where I could sit down and work with my laptop. But a few weeks ago I checked into a hotel a day earlier than I needed to (I had a family get-together a day later; long story). I spent five hours straight in that hotel room, totally in the zone! So a quiet hotel room is now officially my favorite place to write.

Other than reading books, what is your favorite past time?
A: Our family has some raw land (many acres) out in the country, and it is a blast to go up there and work the land. It is totally quiet with many areas that are unexplored. It is impossible to retain stress from the job while on that property. There are trenches to dig, trees to plant and water, roads to gravel, and on and on. It is good exercise, and it is much cheaper than a gym membership!

What things have you done so far to promote your book?
A: I had a free Kindle promotion for a few days, and I passed the word on Facebook and on Twitter. Also, the usual price of the Camouflaged Cross Kindle book is 99 cents, and I think Amazon does some extra marketing of its own when that is the price. There is a higher royalty percent that goes to Amazon.
Also, I have been invited to participate in podcasts on a couple prepper websites, Today’s Survival, and Prepper Recon. They were fun!

Do you have a blog? What is the link?
A: No blog but I am on Facebook and Twitter as Cal Wilson, Author.

What social media sites are you on?
A: On Twitter, I can be followed at @calwilsonauthor (https://twitter.com/calwilsonauthor) and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008934104563

Book Description

Have you ever wondered what the true Biblical End Times will look like?
Where society has totally broken down and evil forces are at work, both
worldwide and locally, to take control of what is left? Nuclear bombs smuggled into shipping containers have blown up several
American port cities. Riots have broken out among the hungry survivors.
Train tracks have been sabotaged to cause derailments, municipal water
supplies have been poisoned, ground-to-air missiles have been smuggled
into the country to shoot down passenger airplanes, crop-dusters have
been used to spread disease in crowded cities, and electrical
sub-stations have been attacked to shut down the electrical grid and
make sure that anyone left alive is in the dark. In the face of all this
death and destruction, most of the survivors foolishly try and prepare
for a return to normalcy.

Several Christian prepper families have converged upon an agreed-upon
retreat location to try and survive what is clearly a final break-down
of society, just as was predicted in the Bible. Join Jesse, his wife
Mary, their daughter Melissa, and their prepper friends from church who
have, after years of prepping and stockpiling supplies, are forced to go
to their retreat location in hopes of fighting and surviving all of the
multiple threats to come.

Book Description:

Satan knows your weakness; he knows exactly what to do to hit you hard. He will knock you flat on your back; he is not one to take lightly. It is no joking matter when it comes to fighting against Satan and his demons. They are as real as you and I and they fight dirty. They can invade your thoughts, dreams and interrupt your life. I tell you this not to frighten you but to tell you to prepare. This book will help you prepare for attacks that come against you from your adversary, Satan.

Excerpt:

Don’t ever think you are above temptation or Satan’s snare, because that is when he will work his illusion and you can become entangled. It is when you are at your highest point or closest to God, that Satan creeps in to break that fellowship with the believer. James 1:3,4 says, “ Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Zechariah 13:9 says, “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.”
We need to keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus at all times and don’t let Satan snare you and overcome you, because he will if you allow it. Keep seeking the Lord continually in your life especially in these last days. Jesus is our only answer. That is what I held to despite everything that came against me. I knew that my only hope was in Jesus Christ. It wasn’t works that I had done but through the grace of the Lord. His mercy is everlasting; and he will forgive any sin that you have ever done, but you must repent from your sins. You must believe on Jesus and ask for his forgiveness. He is standing there with his arms outstretched, waiting for you to come back to him. Don’t delay!
One more thing I want to say is if you notice a brother or sister in Christ being deceived, I urge you to help them in any way you can. Be there for them and don’t talk about them, because God could be working something out in there lives. Satan hasn’t let up trying to hurt me, but I know that my happiness is with the Lord. No matter what Satan tries to hurl at me, the Lord will pick me up, and help me to overcome. He said he will never leave me or forsake me. Pray for others, especially if you have a brother or sister that needs some encouragement or doesn’t believe in the Lord Jesus. Trust me prayer works!

The best way to resist sin is to stay away from it; stay as far away as possible from it. If you are tempted by something, run from it. The Bible tells us that Joseph was tempted by the Pharaoh's wife to sleep with him. She grabbed his coat and told him to lie with her, so he ran from that sin, leaving his garment behind. That had to be some fast running. He didn't want to sin against his master so he fled away. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is flee from the temptation.
When we are young, we live our life as if there is no tomorrow. We live carefree lives and don’t worry about following God’s laws as much. You think you have all the time in the world to do as you please. You think you will grow old and become a millionaire and have no worries. As I have gotten older I have began to see that Sin cost something. Things you do when you are young, come back to bite you.
Some sins affect you when you are younger. You may start to lose things in your life that you consider valuable. You might lose your wife because of committing adultery. You may get drunk with alcohol and lose your job that you worked hard to get. You may lose your truck because you committed a sin that cost a lot of money to do such as gambling and drugs. You may begin to waste your money on riotous living and lose your most prize possessions. You may have a car wreck and lose part of your family or your own life.
