Why does the Rainbow appear in the sky? Fables and Stories have been written about the rainbow, but God is the one who put it there. Genesis 9:13-15 says: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud; And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
AFTER RAIN FALLS FROM WAY UP HIGH
IT SIGNIFIES GODS PROMISE TO US
HE SETS HIS BOW UP IN THE SKY
AND SAYS, HE WILL NOT FLOOD THE EARTH AGAIN.
IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING WE SEE
CONTAINING EVERY COLOR KNOWN TO MAN,
FOR HE SHOWS HIS LOVE TO YOU AND ME,
BY GIVING US A MOST PRECIOUS SIGHT.
MANY STORIES HAVE COME FROM THE RAINBOW,
ABOUT POTS OF GOLD AND MAKING WISHES,
BUT GOD’S PROMISE HE DOES BESTOW,
TO GIVE US FAITH AND COMFORT FOREVER MORE.
