Christmas Time is Around the Corner so I thought I would write a few things down about Christmas and share one of my poems with you. Christmas time should be a time of reflection. A time of giving to your family and friends. At Thanksgiving we gave thanks for the people we love and the things that God has given us. Now is the time to give. My church has dedicated and devoted time to giving to someone at a local nursing home this year. We are collecting gifts such as stuff animals, books, throws, and such. I encourage you to give to someone in need this year. Remember Christmas is a time of giving not a time of regret. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Give honor to him before anyone else this season. Without him we wouldn't have any reason to celebrate at all.
Born To Die For the World
One day long ago, in times past,
God sent a sign for the wisemen,
Way up high a star was cast,
To lead the way to his dear son.
Gifts were brought to celebrate,
Of Gold, frankincense and Myrrh,
Jesus, God’s son deserved a better fate,
Than to die for the sins of the world.
Mary was the chosen, from above,
To give birth to the Savior,
He was given because of God’s love,
To die for the sins of the world.
Angels rejoiced in Jesus birth,
Because he was God in the flesh.
He was born to live on the earth,
To die for the sins of the world.
The heaven mourned while he was away,
Winning the lost and saving souls,
He went to the cross that last day,
To die for the sins of the world.
Thanks for the thoughts to ponder and your beautiful poem. Hope you'll pop over to my site. I have 4 giveaways going on right now and love to see new faces! Hope you have a great weekend!
