A Heart of Grace and Thankfulness
With the cooler weather, I am ready for the Holidays to come. The holidays to me are a time of reflection. A time to be thankful for what the Lord has blessed us with; our family, our friends, our jobs, our homes. He has given us a place to live; a place to work; a place to worship. Some have lost their homes and possessions this past week in Texas, but they have not lost their faith. They are truly appreciate for what they haven't lost, which shows their true heart. They possess a heart of grace and love for what really matters in life. They are singing the praises of God for sparing their life and their families lives. See they know that possessions can be replaced. They know that the Lord God gave them their possessions, and he can certainly replenish those things lost.
Sometimes when we lose things in this life, we learn to appreciate those things more. We learn what truly matters in life. Many are looking at the events from Hurricane Harvey as a travesty, and it is. But it is also an awakening to some. A time to embrace life more. A time to be thankful. A time of compassion and love for others. A time to be thankful for what we all have.
